ABOUT

My name is Ava Hughes, and I am a senior at Christ the King. I am passionate about a lot of things: my family, my friends, concerts, school, the color purple, traveling, cheerleading, and the sky, to name a few. But it was the passion I developed for service that cemented my dream to become a physician. I want to spend the rest of my life in service to others. I chose stem cell research as the topic for my Horizon Project as it fascinated me as well as aligned with the future I hope to create for myself.
