What are oligopotent stem cells?
Oligopotent stem cells can differentiate into a few different cells. These stem cells are classified as adult stem cells. Oligopotent stem cells play a significant role in tissue homeostasis and repair. An example of an oligopotent stem cell is a myeloid stem cell, which can divide into white blood cells but not red blood cells.
